Suzanne is trained and experienced in a wide range of issues and therapeutic counselling modalities. She believes in using a multi-modal approach which includes Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Emotional Focus Therapy, Solution Focus, Narrative Therapy and much more in her practice. Suzanne believes it is crucial to build a therapeutic alliance with her clients and to create a confidential respectful atmosphere where her clients can begin to make lasting changes and experience personal growth.
She has a Master of Divinity degree from Tyndale Seminary Toronto, majoring in Family, Couple and Individual counselling in addition to two other degrees from the University of Ottawa and York University and is an Ontario qualified teacher.
Suzanne enjoys working with children and teenagers, and is sensitive to their stress issues stemming from learning difficulties, parental separation/divorce, childhood depression and anxiety and so on. She is also a trained and qualified Prepare-Enrich couple therapist. Suzanne is a member of AAMFT.
Suzanne is the mother of three teenagers and one young adult. In her spare time Suzanne likes cooking, travel, fitness and art.
She offers counselling in French or English and has evenings, days and Saturdays available for appointments.
