She also provides consultation and supervision services for psychotherapists and in-home specialists.

Carrie’s experience includes over 40 years as a therapist, 40+ years of marriage and raising four children. Areas of special interest include: individual psychotherapy and couple therapy (including pre-marriage counselling), eating disorders, compulsive eating, stress management, anxiety disorders, aftereffects from childhood emotional/physical/sexual abuse, depression, relationship coaching, sexuality, grief and bereavement, inter-generational family conflict, parenting issues/behavior management, and spiritual development and direction.
Carrie has extensive experience leading support groups and is a frequent speaker in workshops, churches and community groups. She has over 25 years of experience supervising intern students completing their masters’ degree in counselling.
Carrie, in her spare time, loves to play tennis, ski, knit, read, and hang out with her family.

Joey Crump

Joey Crump is a Clinical Social Worker and Psychotherapist with a Masters of Social Work specializing in health and mental health. Her areas of special interest include anxiety and depression, trauma, postpartum depression, marital enrichment, compassion fatigue, anger, grief, chronic disease and health related issues. Joey is also trained in Equine Assisted Psychotherapy.
Joey’s professional experience includes working at the school board providing individual support, counselling services and groups. It also includes hospital crisis counselling and leading adult mental health groups in a community agency. In addition to her work at Meadowbrook Counselling Associates, Joey currently provides social work counselling services at Markham Stouffville Hospital.
Joey’s academic credentials include two undergraduate degrees, in Psychology and Theology as well as a Rehabilitation Certification with a focus on psychosocial and vocational rehabilitation. She has specialized training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Trauma Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy and Mindfulness . She is also a trained facilitator of Prepare and Enrich, a marriage assessment tool and has been providing pre-marriage counselling and marriage enrichment counselling services for over 30 years. Joey is very passionate about the whole person and conducts bio-psycho-social-spiritual assessments. Joey loves the outdoors and offers some counselling sessions outdoors in a private country setting called Meadowbrook at the Shire, or in a professional office – both settings are available.

Karla Kamerman

Karla has more than twenty years of experience as an individual, couple and family therapist. Her desire is to see clients experience fulfilled lives through healthy relationships. She greatly enjoys facilitating growth and change and supporting each individual in their process in a trauma-informed, client-centered manner. Her therapy is influenced by family systems theory and has a special interest in helping clients understand who they are and how this contributes to their relational context.

Joanna Cheung

Joanna is a clinical social worker and a certified art therapist. She obtained her Masters in Social Work in England, U.K. and her diploma in art therapy from the Vancouver Art Therapy Institute. She speaks fluent English and Cantonese, and some Mandarin.

Stephen is an empathetic listener who has experience working with people struggling with a variety of issues, including depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, damaged relationships, burnout, grief and trauma. Stephen has been married for around 20 years, and is raising two children, each with their unique temperaments and skills. He also cherishes the memory of one son who died as a young baby. Laird specializes in pastoral and spiritual direction, temperament analysis, vocational direction, life balance and psycho-educational coaching. His emphasis is in pre-marriage and marriage counseling, clergy care,, general parenting issues, as well as helping parents deal with troubled teens.
Laird completed a Doctorate of Ministry with a research emphasis on marriage ministry. He has been an adjunct faculty member at Tyndale University College and Heritage Seminary.
Laird is an ordained minister and has been involved in pastoral ministry in the GTA for 25 years. For eight years Laird had been on staff with Focus on the Family Canada as the Director of Marriage and Family Ministry. In this role Laird conducted marriage and family training coast to coast across Canad.
Laird was the Canada East Superintendent for the Associated Gospel Churches of Canada. He provided pastor care and leadership consulting for approximately 88 churches in Ontario.

One of her goals is to help her clients by providing a safe, confidential, and professional environment for them.

Jordana has over ten years of experience working in wellness and is a certified Mental Health First Aid instructor.
Jordana has additional certification in DBT, CBT, children and anxiety, as well as body dysmorphia and eating disorders. In practice, Jordana works to create a safe, client-centered atmosphere where the client will be heard and validated. Jordana’s approach to therapy is through a holistic lens that seeks to consider all aspects of the client’s life including their emotional, physical, cultural, intellectual, and occupational self and how it is contributing to their problem.

He has a wealth of life experience, from working as a caseworker in a halfway house to doing computer security with multi-billion-dollar clients in the corporate world. Josiah is currently a licensed minister working as the Lead Pastor of Lakeshore Community Fellowship Church. His love for working with people, particularly men, has led him to pursue a career in counselling to walk with his clients towards emotional, spiritual and mental well-being.
Josiah is an outdoor enthusiast, an avid reader, and loves to play guitar. Josiah is married, and recently he and his wife had their first child.

Millie is certified in ASIST suicide prevention and volunteers as a Crisis Support at Distress Centres, providing support to adolescents, teenagers, adults and the elderly struggling with anxiety, depression, stress, suicidal ideation, trauma, relationship issues and more.
Millie is compassionate, non-judgmental, and an eager therapist who strives to create a safe and inviting environment for people of all cultures, identities, and walks of life. Millie works from a holistic and integrated approach, including Solution Focused Therapy (SFT), strength-based and person-centred interventions. With an emphasis on the therapeutic relationship and inclusivity, Millie strives to support her clients by helping them develop goals and strategies to improve their quality of life.

Audrey takes an integrated, strengths-based approach and draws from evidence-based treatments such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Narrative, Emotional Focused Therapy (EFT) and Play therapy. She works from a trauma-informed lens and strives to create a safe space for clients to explore, engage and feel empowered.

Kerry has experience as a classroom teacher, a facilitator of mental health programs for students and parents, and a parenting coach. Her approach to counselling is strength-based and person-centred, and she strives to create a safe, inclusive, and non-judgmental environment.
Kerry brings a 20-year lived experience with chronic pain to her work with clients and believes that resiliency can be found and built upon through the therapeutic process. She has training in social and emotional learning (SEL), certification in trauma-focused CBT, and has completed CADDRA’s Introduction to ADHD for Healthcare Professionals.

Lindsay works within several evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Psychodynamic Theory, to ensure every client is given the opportunity to feel safe and heard within the therapeutic relationship.
In addition to her clinical practice, Lindsay is regularly invited to speak and present on current mental health topics to local churches and community groups. Lindsay has presented on topics such as vicarious trauma for frontline volunteers, trauma-informed care, burnout in leadership, and grief related to the holiday season.
In her spare time, she loves creating art, playing music, and exploring local activities with her husband and two young children.
Alisa Serebro

Alisa is an intern at Meadowbrook (supervised by Carrie Fleetwood, B.A., M.Ed., R.P.) She has completed her Master’s in Counselling Psychology with Yorkville University and has a BA in French Studies and a BEd from York University. Working as a teacher in public schools, Alisa became aware of the importance of mental health support both for teachers and students. She became an advocate for student well-being through community building and teaching mindfulness techniques.
Her increasing interest led to a role as Mental Health Lead at school and her completing the MACP program to become a psychotherapist. She now is a passionate advocate for teachers’ mental well-being, which has a ripple effect on student well-being. Apart from her career, she is also a military spouse and thus understands the challenges of frequent relocations and stresses from a partner’s work.
Whether life stresses come at you from work or life situations, Alisa would be delighted to work with you to unload some of the burdens. Taking a strengths-based and client-centred approach, Alisa will help you make goals for your therapy sessions and equip you with the tools to get there.
Sam Moore

Sam holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Masters of Divinity in Clinical Counselling from Tyndale University. He is supervised by Carrie Fleetwood B.A., M.Ed., R.P. #3522
Sam is a friendly person who finds joy in empathetically supporting people through life’s various circumstances. He draws on his life experience to better serve his clients. These experiences include living in Central America, working with people of all ages in casual settings like camps and schools, and in clinical settings like hospitals. He has also held leadership roles in a variety of environments, including church, school and as an account executive.
Sam’s journey through life thus far has ultimately led him to a career in Psychotherapy. He hopes to use his experiences and training to help clients gain insight into their issues and give them the tools to take action so that they can grow and thrive. Sam works with youth (16+) and adults.
In his spare time, he enjoys being outside, spending time with his family and making music with his kids. Sam is married and shares 3 children with his wife.
Kristen Turner

Kristen is an therapist at Meadowbrook Counselling Associates. She is in the process of completing her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University. Kristen holds a Bachelor of Arts (Psychology) from Western University and a graduate certificate in Autism and Behavioural Science from George Brown College.
Kristen has over three years of experience working with children and adults with autism spectrum disorder and volunteers at a local distress center. Through these opportunities, she has quickly become an advocate for empowering others and improving the health and wellness of people in the community. In practice, Kristen demonstrates trust, compassion, and collaboration and works hard to understand all aspects of the client’s life.
Kristen leads a very active lifestyle and has a passion for fitness. In addition, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends and listening to some of her favorite podcasts.
Lydia Fahim

Lydia is a therapist at Meadowbrook Counselling (supervised by Joey Crump B.R.E., B.A. (Hons), M.S.W., R.S.W.). Lydia holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts and a Master of Divinity in Clinical Counselling.
Lydia is compassionate, empathetic, and a good listener. She has volunteer experience in dealing with youth from day-to-day to life-threatening issues. Her experience allowed her to advocate for individuals by empowering them. These experiences have led her to further educate herself and pursue a career in counselling to properly advocate for individuals, and walk with them in their journey towards emotional, and mental well-being.

Andreia Roman

Calmness, active listening, and warmth are an essential part of Andreia’s work. She understands how trust and safety are crucial for building a strong therapeutic relationship.
She is passionate about how therapy has profoundly changed her own life, and she is very enthusiastic about supporting others to deal with their issues and work through their conflicts. Andreia also has a deep appreciation for people’s complexity and uniqueness.
She works with adults and her practice is informed by psychodynamic and psychoanalytical approaches, along with other modalities, such as trauma and attachment.

Evan is an empathetic clinical counsellor who brings a wealth of personal and professional experience to his practice. With over 20 years experience in the corporate world, predominantly in various leadership roles, Evan has honed skills in cultivating growth mindsets and strength-based development of diverse individuals and teams. In counselling, he takes a systems and client-centric approach, focused on safely supporting clients as they journey through the personal and professional challenges and opportunities of life, leveraging their own strengths to achieve their goals.
Married with three children, Evan cherishes spending time with his family, especially enjoying moments outdoors by the ocean on Canada’s coasts or hiking trails near his Ontario home. These personal experiences enrich Evan’s empathetic and family-centered approach to counselling that incorporates a holistic emotional, physical and spiritual framework, fostering a warm and supportive environment for clients.
Evan holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and is currently a candidate for an MDIV in Clinical Counselling. Supervised by Carrie Fleetwood B.A., M.Ed., R.P. #3522, Evan ensures adherence to the highest standards of clinical practice and ethical care.

Catherine is an intern therapist at Meadowbrook supervised by Carrie Fleetwood, Director, B.A., M.Ed., R.P. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and is currently completing her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology.
Catherine is passionate about supporting people in their journey toward meaningful change and fulfillment. She cultivates a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental environment where clients can explore difficult emotions and personal struggles. She uses a client-centred, strengths-based, and trauma-informed approach grounded in a biopsychosocial and cultural understanding.
Catherine’s volunteer experiences with youth, young adults and women have driven her passion to pursue counselling. It has deepened her understanding of human resilience and the importance of compassionate support. Her heart is for people from all different backgrounds, cultures, and identities to be seen and heard.
Catherine has been married for over 23 years, and has three children. She loves hiking, reading, singing, creating, exploring cultures, and spending time with family and friends.
Sean Lee

Sean is an intern therapist at Meadowbrook supervised by Joey Crump, B.R.E., B.A. (Hons), M.S.W., R.S.W.
Additionally, Sean works at the Hospital for Sick Children and has been involved in Christian ministry for over 20 years. He holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Toronto and a diploma in health information management from George Brown College. Sean is currently in the process of completing his Master’s in counselling psychology at Yorkville University.
Sean grew up in Singapore and Canada, which has helped shape his understanding of different cultures. Sean is passionate in helping people grow to be the best version of themselves through a holistic, strengths-based, nonjudgmental, and empathetic approach. Sean uses cognitive behaviour therapy, emotion-focused therapy, solution-focused therapy, narrative, and family systems to support his clients. His areas of focus are anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and couples and families.
Sean is married and has three beautiful children, with the youngest two being twins. In his spare time, Sean loves to cook, try out new recipes, and hang out with his family and friends.
Victoria McCartney

Victoria McCartney (She/Her) is a Qualifying Master of Psychotherapy intern, under the supervision of Joey Crump at Meadowbrook Counselling & Healthcare Associates. Victoria holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communications with a minor in Psychology from Western Michigan University, where she also played NCAA Division 1 soccer. Victoria is in the process of completing her Master of Counselling Psychology (M.A.C.P) at Yorkville University.
With a rich background as a high-performance athlete and extensive experience in the creative arts as a producer and songwriter, Victoria brings a unique perspective to her practice. She is passionate about helping individuals navigate life’s challenges and reach their full potential. Her empathetic and nonjudgmental approach ensures that each client feels valued and heard.
Victoria is deeply committed to creating a therapeutic environment where clients can explore their thoughts and feelings without fear of judgment. She draws from various therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy (SFT), and Person-Centred Therapy, to tailor her approach to the unique needs of each client.

Annie Kenniphaas Herreman is the Administrative Assistant for MCHA’s affiliates and therapists. She holds a Bachelor of Sciences in Nursing from Trent University. Annie is originally from Peterborough, Ontario but currently resides in Leipzig, Germany with her husband. She is warm, friendly, and eager to help others. You will find Annie to be professional and timely in her role as she effectively communicates with clients to ensure therapists can utilize their time to provide quality services.
